Beautiful Summer Skin

I am a lotion addict.
My favorites would have to be pretty much anything from the HEMPZ Pure Herbal Extracts line.
Original, Age Defying, Cucumber/Jasmine and the new Pomegranate.
The pomegranate lotion is very thick and creamy and the scent is sweet but not overpowering. My skin always feels soft after using it.
For everyday use i would go with the age defying. "Helps skin appear softer and smoother instantly, then firmer and more toned within 15 days." - Hempz Supre
The original i love but working at a tanning salon killed the scent for me. I feel like every time i wear it i smell like tanning lotion.
The cucumber and Jasmine. Smells and feels fabulous!
All lotions ranging from $8-28 If you have a cosmo card prices can range from $3-13!

AVEDA Replenishing Body Moisturizer $23
Light and mildy fragrant lotion that contains pure plant a flower essences. The consistency is thick but not overpowering like a cream. Smells like you've just left a day spa every time you use any product from their company. Add two drops of Beautifying Composition Oil $23 and your skin will never feel better! The oil restores moisture and relieves dryness. Contains Bergamont, Jojoba oil, Lavender, Rosemary and Vitamin E.

Drugstore lotions:
Aveeno Stress Relieving Moisterizing Lotion $8.49
My dad, who is also a lotion addict bought the original daily moisturizer recently. The original scent i'm not to fond of but the lavender stress relief is so calming and i love how the lotion is thick. I cannot stand lotion that is watery, even if it sinks in fast. I feel those lotions don't last as long for me.

Lubriderm Intense Skin Repair Body Lotion: $8.79
Another good moisturizing lotion. No greasy, oily residue and is an amazing lotion at a good price!

Other product lines that work well are
Vaseline, Jergens and St. Ives.

Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret have lotions that are almost too much for me. I might like it for... a day and that's about all it does for me. I feel like i have wasted my money every time i buy and never use their products. The only one i would probably choose is Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath and Body Works. Though the smell of that after a while even gets old for me. What do you think?

All Things Skin Care

Out of the products by AVEDA i would recommend:
Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant
Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair - A leave in conditioner, with built in heat protectants in it! Leaves the hair really nice and soft. It also helps to repair, detangles and moisturizes the hair
Balancing Infusion for dry skin - You have no idea how many times this saved me! It is heaven in a bottle. A little goes a long way!
Energizing Body Wash - Smells like rosemary and mint. Very refreshing in the morning.
Light Elements Smoothing Fluid - No grease, no frizz! If you don't have this you need to get it!

Now switching over to drugstore products:
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser - Very light weight cleanser good for everyday use.
St. Ive's Olive Cleanser - Really helped even out my skin tone and is a great cleanser for the end of the day when you want to take off all of your makeup.
I am currently looking for a good moisturizer. I have been using Nivea Moisturizing Cream lately which hydrates my skin but i hate how oily it makes my skin look. Anyone with dry or combination skin know of any good moisturizers they would recommend? Preferably a thick cream. Suggestions would be appreciated!

Also, i'm not sure how everyone feels about Pro Activ. I'm not a huge fan of the cleanser and toner that smells like old eggs but the refining mask is my savior! But be aware that it smells like sulfur. Before this spot treatment i was using Bye Bye Blemish which i swear by but i couldn't stand the smell so the refining mask was a definite improvement and it doesn't come off when i'm asleep.

Favorite products at the moment:
Revlon ColorStay with SoftFlex SPF 6 in Natural Tan
Read great reviews on this product and had to buy it right away. The coverage is amazing. I've tried many liquid foundations but have never come across one that does the trick. I have not experience any breakouts and my face never appears oily after using which i was surprised since it contains SPF. The color definitely stays, i will be repurchasing this when it's out!

Mac Viva Glam Gaga lipstick
I have been in a lipstick craze lately. I just recently bought this because i loved the color. I apply a thin coat for a natural look but it will be perfect for going out when i want that bright cotton candy look. I think it would look great with a smokey eye or thick black liner. It's adorable. One thing i would recommend though is to moisturize your lips before use because since it is such a light color it will show lines or cracks if your lips are dry.

Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion
I've been using Last Blast by Covergirl for a while now and this is one of my favorites. I have short lashes and this makes them look bold and full. When i want to lengthen my lashes I usually reach for my L'Oreal Telescopic mascara in Carbon Black. I have read mixed reviews about this product mainly because of the bristles. I personally love it. They leave my lashes looking long and natural.
